About the Role
- Hybrid working: combine flexibility with in-person collaboration, with an expectation of 1 day per week/ 4 days per month in the office.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design for email, web, and app from concept to production-ready hand-off, working within design system to ensure a high-quality, cohesive, on-brand interface across every surface.
- Work within, extend, and help maintain design system, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency across email, web, and app.
- Work closely with AEM authors and developers, selecting the right Universal Editor components and variants and providing precise specifications, crop ratios, responsive breakpoints, and assets so designs can be built without further design input.
- Help on user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs, improving the user experience based on insights.
- Apply strong conceptual thinking to develop innovative design concepts and strategies that align with the product vision and user needs and be able to communicate and showcase the vision of your conceptual work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies (including AI), and proactively incorporate best practices into your work (ie: shadecn).
- Participate in design reviews, presenting your work to stakeholders and incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
- Choose the correct components, variants, and image crops for each surface and breakpoint; deliver annotations that explain decisions, not just describe them, so AEM authors can build self-explanatory designs after handoff.
- Uphold client's brand voice and typographic discipline.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in UI design, preferably in a senior role, and experience with complex Design Systems.
Solid understanding of UX principles and how they relate to UI design.
Experience with responsive and adaptive design across breakpoints, with exacting attention to component specs, crop ratios, and character limits.
Experience designing within an established design system and component library — adapting and extending one intelligently rather than inventing your own.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of interface animation, digital branding and illustration.
Nice to Have
Experience – or the desire to learn - motion design for UI and the ability to bring interfaces to life through animation and interactive elements – using motion tools like RIVE or AfterEffects.
Experience working in an Agile project environment.
A sharp editorial and copy sensibility — able to craft and right-size headlines, CTAs, and microcopy for each surface within a defined brand voice.
